Rod Canion - Chairman Of The Board

Rod Canion has been a leading figure in the technology industry since co-founding Compaq Computer Corporation in 1982 and serving as its Chief Executive Officer through a decade of unprecedented growth. During his tenure as CEO, Compaq set records for the largest first-year sales in the history of American business and reached the Fortune 500 and the $1 billion revenue mark faster than any other company in history. By 1991, Compaq employed more than 10,000 people and operated in 65 countries worldwide.

In 1992, Mr. Canion founded Insource Technology Group and served as its Chairman until September 2006.In September 1999, Mr. Canion led the initial investment round for Questia Media, Inc.; became chairman of the board and later helped the company raise $150 million.

A native of Houston, Mr. Canion graduated from the University of Houston in 1966 and 1968 with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in electrical engineering with an emphasis on computer science. He is a member of the Board of Directors of AMVESCAP PLC and ChaCha Search, Inc., and is a director of the Houston Technology Center.

Tim Harris - Director, President & CEO

Tim joined Questia as chief financial officer in 1999. In 2000, he became chief operating officer, coordinating the day-to-day operational activities for the company ranging from Operations, Marketing, and Sales to Information Management & Engineering. In 2005, Tim transitioned from COO to Director, a role he holds to this day. In 2007, Tim assumed the role of President and CEO. Prior to Questia, Tim spent 16 years at Compaq Computer with his last position as vice president and general manager of their $8 billion commercial desktop division. Tim holds an M.B.A. from Northwestern University and a B.S. in electrical engineering from Cornell University.

Dr. Therese (Terry) Crane - Director

Terry is vice president of education products at America Online where her responsibilities center on education initiatives, including AOL's Research and Learn Channel and AOL@SCHOOL. Prior to joining AOL, Terry served as president of CompassLearning, one of the largest educational software companies in the world, and also led Apple Computer's highly successful, multibillion-dollar education division.

Jim Harris - Director

A native Texan, Jim Harris graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He joined Texas Instruments in 1967, working in Engineering Project Management. In 1981 Jim left TI to co-found Compaq Computer Corporation and served as senior vice president of engineering for more than a decade. Since 1991, Jim has launched numerous companies and is a member of various noteworthy boards of directors, including the Stehlin Cancer Research Foundation.

Chuck Henry - Director

Chuck Henry is currently Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Rice University. Previously he was director of libraries at Vassar College and assistant director, Division of Humanities and History, at Columbia University. Chuck also serves on the Steering Committee for the Coalition for Networked Information, is president-elect of the National Initiative for a Networked Cultural Heritage, and is on the Advisory Committee for the new International University-Bremen. He chairs the Committee on Computer Science and the Humanities, sponsored by the American Council of Learned Societies and the Computer Science and Telecommunications Board of the National Academy of Engineering. Chuck received his Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Columbia University and has published widely in the field of technology and higher education.
